AI Policy & Approved Platforms for Student Use
At Morgan County Schools, we are committed to preparing our students for the future by integrating innovative tools that enhance learning and critical thinking. One of the most exciting developments in education today is the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is a form of technology that can help personalize learning, support teachers, and improve student outcomes by offering smart, data-driven insights. As we begin to incorporate AI responsibly and thoughtfully into our classrooms, we want to ensure our families understand what AI is, how it’s being used, and how we are protecting student privacy every step of the way. We are currently evaluating AI platforms for student use. As platforms are approved, they will be added to this list.

Canva is a user-friendly graphic design platform that empowers students and teachers to create visually engaging presentations, posters, infographics, and more. As part of our commitment to fostering creativity and digital literacy, MCS uses Canva for Education—a free, education-specific version of the platform that is safe and secure for students. Recently, Canva has introduced AI-powered tools, such as Magic Write and design suggestions, which help students brainstorm ideas, improve their writing, and enhance their visual projects. These tools are designed to support learning and creativity while ensuring students remain in control of their work. We are dedicated to using these features responsibly and will continue to prioritize student privacy and thoughtful use of technology in our schools. |
