    Welcome to the MCS website!  We are a rural school district located on the eastern edge of the Cumberland Plateau.  Our eight district schools educate approximately 3,000 students.

  • MCS Board Workshop and Special Called School Board Meeting

    The Morgan County Schools Board Workshop followed by a Special Called School Board Meeting will be Monday, November 27, at 4:30 p.m, at Central High.  The Special Called School Board Meeting is for the specific purpose of purchasing two new buses.

  • Petros Joyner Students 4th and 5th Grade Chromebook Roll Out

    This past week, the Morgan County Schools Technology Department rolled out one to one devices to all 4th and 5th graders in Morgan County.  Over 375 devices were purchased through our Federal Programs budget.  Teachers in these grades will be receiving Chromebooks as well.  With this latest installment Morgan County Schools now provides individual Chromebooks to all students in grades 4-12.  Morgan County Schools is excited to provide this technology to improve the students educational experience.

  • 'Til Death Do Us Part: OHS Drama Club and Choir's Next Big Production

    This fall, Oakdale High School Drama and Choir is working on a laugh ‘til you die play called ‘Til Death Do Us Part written by Craig Sodaro and produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Company. Love, marriage, and...murder?

    With the new ELA and Math Standards being released in Tennessee, they have been linked our Star Assessments so you can rest assured you will have the latest data. So not only will you be able to assess your students in a fraction of the time of other assessments but you can see how they are doing with your current standards and predict how they will perform on the state test.
