  • September 2018 PreK-5 Teacher of the Month

    Director of Schools Ronnie Wilson would like to announce the September Teachers of the Month for Morgan County Schools. For Grades PreK – 5 from Sunbright we have Courtney Ross. Courtney teaches music/band PreK-12 at Sunbright. She has worked diligently in building the band program at Sunbright. She has made herself active on many committees and is always willing to help in any way possible.

  • September 2018 Teacher of the Month Grades 9-12

    Our September Teacher of the Month for Grades 9–12, from Central High School, is Mr. Duane Yeary. Mr. Yeary has been with Morgan County Schools for several years serving our Special Education students. Mr. Yeary cares for his students and is willing to go the extra mile for each and every one of them.

    Progress Reports will be distributed Friday, November 16. Grades for the second nine weeks are on this progress report. If you have questions about your child's progress, please schedule a conference with your child's teachers by contacting the school.

  • August 2018 PreK-5 Teacher of the Month

    Director of Schools Ronnie Wilson would like to announce the Morgan County Schools Pre-K – 5 Teacher of the Month for August, 2018. Margie Branstetter from Petros Joyner makes learning fun for her little ones in Pre-K. She uses a lot of song and movement to engage her students in learning.

  • August 2018 Teacher of the Month Grades 6-8

    Tim Hines teaches Grades 6-8 at Coalfield. Mr. Hines has done a great job with his Project Based Learning class. He has brought in several guest speakers and exposed the children to many new concepts while still supporting the standards in other classrooms.

  • August 2018 Teacher of the Month Grades 9-12

    Wartburg Central High School teacher Glenda Scott serves as a major organizer of cancer awareness and fundraising in the community. She serves as a substitute administrator and helps with the discipline program. She also holds key roles with the Safety and Emergency Response Team at WCHS.

  • Morgan County Schools is Deeply Saddened by the Loss of Corey Keathley

    Morgan County Schools and the Wartburg Community is deeply saddened by the loss of Corey Keathley. Mr. Keathley was an assistant football coach at Wartburg Central High School. Coach Keathley was dedicated to all the players he coached throughout the years. He will be greatly missed. We extend heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends and football team.

  • Immunization and School Physical Documentation Deadline

    Parents of Prek, Kindergarten, and 7th grade students who have not completed updated required immunizations or physicals have until Friday, August 31st to submit documentation to the school nurse. Beginning Tuesday, September 4th, students without updated proof of immunizations or physicals will be sent home with an unexcused absence.

  • Tdap Booster Requirement for 7th Grade Students

    Seventh grade students must provide proof of the required Tdap Booster before returning to school this fall. An updated shot record on the official Tennessee form needs to be submitted to the school nurse at each individual school.
