Morgan County Schools announces PreK and Kindergarten registration schedule for the 2023-2024 school year

Children entering Kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before AUGUST 15, 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year.

If your child will be four (4) years of age on or before August 15, 2023, they are eligible to apply for the PreK programs. Families considered economically disadvantaged are given first priority for the programs. Due to a limited number of slots at each school filling out an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

            The following information will be needed for registration:

1. A copy of child’s Social Security Card

2. A copy of child’s State Birth Certificate (Not the Mother’s Copy).  You may obtain a copy of the Tennessee State birth certificate from the Health Department.

3. A copy of Insurance Card or notarized statement of no insurance.

4. A copy of the Immunization/Physical Form. The physical exam must be signed and dated by the medical provider after April 1, 2023.  If Kindergarten students have not completed physical it must be done before school starts.  Pre-K students should wait for acceptance letter before proceeding with physical. All required vaccines must be listed and the bottom left box completed by the Medical Provider. All foreign-born children 12 months or older entering school for the first time must present Evidence of a TB Skin Test.  A result must appear on the Health Form.

5. Copy of parent Income Verification (Ex. Pay stubs, food stamp card, W-2, etc.) for PRE-K Registration ONLY
